Quick Start Guide (if you don't want to watch the video)
1. Upload Your Files
- Drag and drop individual files or an entire folder into the upload area.
- The tool will automatically import all supported files inside that folder.
- Large batches may take longer to process.
2. Generate File Names
Click Generate Names to let the AI analyze and rename your files according to the ECOS naming convention.
If you've already processed a batch, you'll have two options:
- Regenerate All — Process every file again.
- Process Unprocessed Files Only — Only analyze files that haven't been renamed yet.
3. Review and Edit Results
Each processed file includes several helpful tools:
- Information — View details about the file and its AI analysis.
- Preview — Open or view the original file.
- Rename — Manually edit the generated filename.
- Copy Name — Copy the filename to your clipboard.
- Remove — Remove the file from the current batch.
- Undo — Restore a recently removed file.
The tool never modifies your original files. It creates renamed copies for you to download.
4. ECOS Tags
The optional ECOS Role Tags add context to your filenames by identifying the file's purpose within the ECOS organizational system. These tags can be toggled on or off at any time.
The information panel also displays:
- An AI-generated description of the file.
- The file's assigned ECOS category.
- Where that category fits within the larger ECOS structure.
You can expand or collapse the full taxonomy tree for additional context.
5. Download Your Files
When you're finished:
- Download All to save your renamed files.
- Optionally preserve folder structures during download.
6. Privacy
Your files are processed locally during your session.
- No cloud storage.
- No permanent file retention.
- The tool does not keep copies of the files you upload.
7. Extra Features
- Demo Mode lets you explore the tool using sample files.
- Bookmark the App for quick access on Mac, Windows, or Linux.
- Reset clears the current workspace so you can start a new batch.
That's it! Drop in your files, generate names, make any adjustments you'd like, and download your organized copies.
